QUICK READ

What changed

PlayStation and Square Enix released a free PS5 demo containing the full first chapter. The publisher says its save data can carry into the complete game, and the official PlayStation Store now lists the PS5 game and demo as available.

Why it matters

The demo gives players a direct way to examine the opening chapter, interface and turn-based combat on their own console before deciding whether to buy the available game. It does not establish the quality, length, performance or post-launch support of the full release.

What is confirmed

  • The PS5 demo includes the entire first chapter.
  • The publisher says demo save data can transfer to the full game.
  • The official PlayStation Store lists the full PS5 game and the free demo as available.
  • The official overview describes turn-based combat built around a timeline, Visions and Espers.

What to verify next

  • Confirm that the demo is available in your regional PlayStation Store.
  • Check your regional store listing for current editions, pricing and save-transfer conditions before purchase.
  • Do not treat the demo as proof of full-game length, performance or post-launch support.
